Radiant Plasma Spark Generator

The SparkAmp series of Pulsed Direct Current Ignition Modules consist of a proprietary electronic circuit that is designed to convert a standard low current high voltage ignition spark to a high energy plasma spark at the highest frequencies with the largest ignition kernel compared to any performance ignition system available on the market today.

The SparkAmp Ignition Module is designed to work with any spark ignited engine - single cylinder or V twin engine, from portable generators to high performance drag racing engines. The fitment of the plasma module depends on the accessories used to outfit the existing low energy ignition system with the added pulsed power from the plasma modules. The conventional ignition electronics and coil (OEM or after market performance ignition modules) generates a low current high voltage discharge which allows the plasma ignition module to deliver over 200 amps of peak current directly into the discharge (compared to milliamps of high performance ignition systems such as MSD). The extremely short duration of the Pulsed Direct Current Ignition method also minimizes plug wear while igniting a much larger portion of the air/fuel mixture, causing the flame front to rapidly expand in the cylinder than is possible with a conventional spark. The end result is a faster, more uniform, and more complete burn of the air/fuel mixture, reducing emissions, increasing efficiency, horsepower and mileage.

The conversion of electrical energy into a high energy plasma spark by the plasma Pulsed Direct Current Ignition Module is highly efficient (over 97%) consuming not more than 50 watts in contrast to the low efficiency of conventional performance ignition systems such as MSD that require up to 250 watts of power in order to achieve similar results.
